Belje, in cooperation with the Croatian association of milk producers, took part in the celebrations of the International school milk day in order to emphasize the importance of milk in daily diet.
International school milk day was celebrated across the world on 26 September through various events, shows and workshops with the topic of “milk”. Belje, in cooperation with the Croatian association of milk producers, took part in the celebrations of the International school milk day in order to emphasize the importance of milk in daily diet. Good alimentary habits are acquired in early childhood. Teachers and parents can contribute significantly by educating children about quality nutrition in schools.
As their contribution to the International school milk day celebration in Baranja, Belje has organized a competition for the best class poster with the topic “What I know about milk and cheese”, intended for first grade primary school pupils.
All pupils of primary schools in Baranja got ABC fresh cream cheese on that day as an example of a milk meal for school and a leaflet of the Croatian association of milk producers which explained the importance of milk in our daily diet.
Three most interesting class posters (primary schools from Čeminac, Beli Manatir and Bilje) were awarded with DVD players and presents from Glas Slavonije (local newspaper) and Belje.
