Traditional 5th Cheese fair was organized in Grubišno Polje this weekend. The expert commission of the Fair announced the Fair champion – the ABC fresh cream cheese made by Belje.
Traditional 5th Cheese fair was organized in Grubišno Polje this weekend. The organizer was the town of Grubišno Polje in cooperation with the Fair of Bjelovar, Bjelovarsko-bilogorska County and Ministry of agriculture, forestry and water-supply management. Thirty-six producers, among which about thirty family farms and dairy plants Dukat, Zdenka, Paška sirana and Belje presented their cheeses on the Fair. During the Fair the evaluation of cheeses was organized and was carried out in cooperation with the Dairy industry institute of the College of agriculture in Zagreb. In total 121 samples of sheep, cow, goat and mixed cheeses were evaluated, and all together 77 cheeses have been awarded. The expert commission of the Fair also announced the Fair champion – the ABC fresh cream cheese made by Belje.
This year’s Fair in Grubišno Polje also featured lectures on cheese market and production of cheese.
