The vintners’ feast of St Vincent was celebrated on January 22, 2008 in the Belje vineyards, on top of Banovo brdo.
According to the old vintners’ customs, after the grapevine was cut, it was watered with excellent last-year wine and decorated with homemade smoked sausages to ensure the abundant future crop.
The CEO of Belje, Inc. Mr Goran Pajnić and the Manager of Wine cellars Mr Baldo Matić cut the first twigs. After that, the priest from Kneževi Vinogradi blessed the vineyards.
Numerous guests who enjoyed traditional fried sausages and bacon, and tasted good Belje wines attended the celebration, which was accompanied by the sounds of tamburica.
