The agreement of scientific, academic and research cooperation between College of Agriculture in Osijek and Belje Inc. was signed in the Deans office at the College of Agriculture on February 14, 2008. It was then noticed that this agreement is another step in the extension of a fruitful, long-term cooperation between College of Agriculture in Osijek and Belje Inc.
Scientific and technical cooperation and training agreed between College of Agriculture and Belje Inc. encompasses the following fields: agricultural production (plant nutrition, soil research, organic agriculture, seed production and plant selection, plant protection and wine production), stock breeding (hog-breeding, meat processing and dairy production, cattle-breeding, domestic animals nutrition and organic stock-breeding), as well as use and maintenance of farm machinery and agro-economics.
As Belje continuously improves its performance, in the course of their fieldwork, students of agriculture are going to get to know the best practices and achievements in agriculture, which are implemented on Belje fields and farms. On the other hand, College of Agriculture is going to organize seminars and workshops for the employees of Belje. In designing the curricula for their specialist graduate studies, as well as in the teaching process, the College is going to consult experts from Belje, and make use of their knowledge and experience.
