Traditionally, on January 22, St. Vincent was remembered at the top of Banovo brdo in the Belje vinery.
According to the old customs, Belje vineyards were decorated with sausages and watered with wine in order to have a successful 2009. The first pruning this year was done by Mr. Goran Pajnić, CEO of Belje, plc. And Mr. Baldo Matić, the Directr of PC Vinski podrumi Belje with the blessing of the parish priest from Kneževi Vinogradi.
Last winegrowing season was very successful for the Belje vinery. Goldberg golden selection of Graschevina, Chardonnay and the late harvest of Graschevina was launched. At the end of the year, two supreme red wines, Merlot and Cabernet sauvignon were introduced. Last season is marked with numerous awards for quality, as well as with the late harvest of Graschevina and Chardonnay.
Many distinguished guests attended the festivities of St Vincet this year. They tasted fried sausages and bacon, as well as Belje wines and enjoyed the sounds of tamburica.
