Within the Bjelovar Fair, the largest agricultural exhibition in Croatia, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fishery and Rural Development traditionally grants awards to most successful family farms and trade companies in the field of agricultural production. In the category of trade companies, BELJE d.d. was pronounced the most successful as the largest producer of pork and beef and cow milk in Croatia for 2008. At the ceremony of giving awards to the best companies, Mr. Čobanković, Minister of Agriculture, Fishery and Rural Development, handed the award for the most successful cattle breeder to the President of BELJE, Mr. Goran Pajnić.
On the occasion of receiving the award, Mr. Goran Pajnić emphasized that BELJE has been receiving this award for several sequential years thanks to the continuous investments in the growth and development of cattle breeding production. As the largest producer of pork and beef and cow milk in Croatia, beside the investments in continuous increasing its scope of production, BELJE has also been investing in the quality of its products, which is evidenced by Quality Control Certificates ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and GLOBAL GAP, which is in the possession of only 10% of industrial companies in the world.
