At the competition of the world’s best chardonnays „Chardonnay du Monde“, held in France, the Chardonnay of Belje Wine Cellars has won a silver medal.
Chardonnay du monde is the biggest and most significant world competition of chardonnays, which was this year held for the 7th time, from March 10-13. In Saint Lager, in the French region of Burgundy three hundred professional wine judges graded 887 chardonnays from 37 countries, in accordance with strict judging rules. To testify how high the standards of the Chardonnay du monde competition really are, there is the fact that only a third of the participants have won a medal.
