According to the Ordinance on food for special nutrition needs, the FLOUR 5+ was notified as food with the emphasized health claims. Fortified with folic acid, vitamins B1 and B2, niacin and iron, FLOUR 5+ is intended particularly for the preservation of health of women in reproductive age and adult population.
At the moment, on the Croatian market there is only one fortified flour - FLOUR 5+. The consumption of bread and rolls made of the FLOUR 5+ increases the daily intake of folic acid significantly. This helps to protect the body against possible consequences of the lack of this vitamin, which is essential for the proper functioning of a human body.
