Baranya kulen – a top-quality delicacy of high nutritional value
 
How to preserve the nutritional values of top-quality meat, and at the same time produce a top-quality delicacy, is well-known to the older people in Baranya, and it is exactly that kind of production in accordance with the traditional recipes which was fused into Belje Baranya kulen. Baranya kulen is the pride of the entire region and of whole Croatia as well.

The flavour of the top-quality traditional kulen is the main characteristic of this delicacy, whose carefully selected ingredients – top quality meat produced in our own farms and carefully selected paprika, and the maturation which can last up to several months – are the real value which will enrich any dining table.

The ratio of meat and selected spices in the production of kulen are part of centuries old recipes passed on from one generation to the other, and it is a secret which makes it such a special gourmet delicacy.

To fully enjoy this delicacy, Baranya kulen has got a new look – a bag which preserves its freshness from the moment it finishes maturation, all the way to the dining table and after that. The high nutritional value of Baranya kulen lies in the richness in vitamins and minerals, and the leg of pork meat used to produce it is rich in high value protein, which makes kulen a rich source of Selenium, Zink, vitamin C and group B vitamins. This is why only four slices of Baranya kulen contain 50 percent of recommended daily allowance (RDA)for vitamin C and as much as 100 percent of the RDA for vitamin B.

Selenium is an important antioxidant which protects the organism from the effect of free radicals, while Zink acts as a support to the immune system. Vitamin C is also important for the preservation of immunity, and group B vitamins, especially when combined, are important in many metabolic functions of the organism.
