Construction of new facilities and beginning of ABC cheese production

Due to the new irrigation system, sowing was optimized to best suit the needs of the conglomerate, and the dominant crops were wheat, maize and sugar beet. A facility for drying and final processing of seed maize was built, and the major part of the production was exported. In 1984, a modern dairy farm was built in Popovac with a capacity of 938 head, and the food industry started the production of ABC fresh cream cheeses, which would become one of the most recognizable brands of Belje in the years to come.
