Podravka Agri puts three new solar power plants into operation

07. November 2025.

Podravka Agri has continued its investment cycle with the launch of three new solar power plants, with a total value of more than EUR 1 million. The new plants have been built and commissioned at Belje production sites: Baranjka (a plant producing traditional cured meat products), the Dairy Products Plant in Beli Manastir, and the Belje winery in Kamenac. The planned annual output across the three locations is 1.84 MWh of electricity, which will be used to meet the company’s own energy needs.

“This investment is a continuation of our commitment to sustainable energy sources. With these three new solar power plants, we have reached a total of 16 locations where we generate electricity for our own use – supplying our farms, warehouses and production sites. By integrating renewable energy into our operational processes, we are improving energy efficiency and contributing to sustainability targets. The three new solar power plants will provide, on average, more than 25% of the energy required at each location. By producing our own electricity, we are increasing energy security and reducing operating costs,” said Davor Doko, President of the Management Board of Podravka Agri, at the commissioning of the new plants.

The solar power plant construction programme forms part of Podravka Agri’s strategic direction toward sustainable business operations. The investment in these three new plants was co-financed through the Rural Development Programme, Measure 4.2.2 – Use of Renewable Energy Sources.

Across Podravka Agri’s 16 solar power plants, more than 12,000 photovoltaic modules have been installed, covering almost 28,000 m². All 16 plants will generate 6.80 MWh of electricity annually, which will be used for Podravka Agri’s own needs and will make a significant contribution to the company’s sustainable operations.
