A Rosé Perspective on Life

11. July 2023.

Vina Belje stands out for its excellent quality Graševina and exceptional red wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Frankovka grapes. Joining the selected few wines made from grapes grown in our own vineyards on Banovo Hill in Baranja is the newly released Premium Rosé, a wine of special elegance and refinement. In this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon dominates with its pronounced aromatic profile. Alongside the predominant luscious aromas of ripe forest fruit and aromatic herbs, one can also detect the typical strawberries and raspberries of Pinot Noir.

Premium Rosé made its market debut with a significant accolade, a gold medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles – Rosé Wine Session, the world’s largest specialized competition for rosé wines. Out of 1,150 rosé wines submitted for judging from all continents, only three gold medals were awarded to Croatian rosés, making this an exceptional achievement for a wine that has just been released.

Marijan Knežević, the head oenologist of Vina Belje, presented the new rosé: “The specific microclimatic features of the Karanačko Hill location have produced several red wines in the past fifteen years that have put Baranja on the map as a region known for high-quality red wines, alongside the consistently high-quality Graševina. We decided to showcase a part of that richness from the previous vintage in a fresher, more relaxed, hedonistic expression that is certain to leave an impression during these summer days. And the fact that it leaves an impression has been confirmed by some of the world’s foremost rosé wine connoisseurs who awarded it a gold medal at the largest global rosé wine competition. I hope that our new rosé will allow lovers of rosé wine, as well as those who will become lovers after tasting it, to see the world through rose-tinted glasses, at least for a brief moment.”

Premium Rosé is a dry, yet extremely refreshing wine with a moderate 12.5% alcohol content and pleasantly pronounced acidity. Its delicate salmon pink colour gives it a special elegance, further emphasized by the rose gold-coloured label.

With its freshness and juiciness, it pairs excellently with seafood and shellfish, salads, pasta and risotto, making it an excellent choice for the summer months. During the rest of the year, it will complement cheeses, light sauces and white meat dishes beautifully.

The premiere of the new Premium Rosé was held at the Evening of Wine&Art, which took place this weekend in Osijek, gathering numerous wine connoisseurs and enthusiasts.

Premium Rosé is available in selected restaurants and bars, and will also be available through our online store by the end of the week.
